1.Why the recurring payment is set up
The recurring payment is set up in order to renew the ordered service automatically for the next billing period.
This is not an installment sale. The recurring payment serves solely to pay for the next period of the service the customer has ordered and for which they activated automatic renewal themselves.
2.Service period and payment frequency
When ordering, or in the customer administration, the customer selects the period for which they wish to order or renew the service.
The following periods are available for individual services:
| Service | Min. period | Max. period | Choice of period |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web hosting | 1 month | 1 year | 1–12 months |
| VPS hosting | 1 month | 1 year | 1–12 months |
| E-mail hosting | 1 month | 1 year | 1–12 months |
| Domains | 1 year | 3 years | 1, 2 and 3 years |
For domains, the customer can choose a period of 1 year, 2 years or 3 years.
The frequency of the recurring payment corresponds to the selected service period. If the customer chooses web hosting for 1 month, for example, the recurring payment will be set up monthly. If the customer chooses a service for 1 year, the recurring payment will be set up annually.
The first attempt to charge the recurring payment is made 10 days before the end of the currently paid service period. The charging date is derived from the date of ordering, activation or the last renewal of the service and is therefore fixed for that service according to its current period.
3.Amount of the recurring payment
The amount of the recurring payment corresponds to the price of the service for the period selected by the customer.
The maximum amount of the recurring payment corresponds to the price of the service multiplied by the maximum possible number of periods for the type of service:
- for web hosting, VPS hosting and e-mail hosting, at most the price of the service for 1 year,
- for domains, at most the price of the domain for 3 years.
The specific amount of the recurring payment is always shown to the customer when automatic renewal is activated for the service in question.
The amount of the recurring payment is fixed unless the customer changes the plan, the scope of the service or the selected period. If the customer changes the plan, for example upgrades or downgrades the service, the amount of the recurring payment may change according to the current price of the newly selected plan or period.
If the parameters of the recurring payment change, the customer will be informed of the change. GoPay recommends informing the customer at least 7 working days in advance when the settings of recurring payments change or when a longer time has passed since the last charge.
4.Setting up and authorizing the recurring payment
The recurring payment is only created after the customer's express consent and after the first card payment has been successfully made through the GoPay payment gateway.
The first payment made serves as authorization for the subsequent automatic recurring payments. For automatic recurring payments, GoPay states that the customer must make the initial payment, thereby authorizing further subsequent automatic payments.
Once the recurring payment has been set up, the customer receives a confirmation that automatic renewal has been activated.
5.Storage of payment details and payment processing via GoPay
Recurring payments are processed through the GoPay payment gateway.
When activating automatic renewal, the customer agrees to their payment details being stored by the GoPay payment gateway for the purpose of making subsequent recurring payments.
Payment details are not stored by ZOXIO. Card details are handled by GoPay in accordance with the international PCI DSS Level 1 security standard, which represents the highest level of data security in the payment card processing sector.
6.Changing the automatic renewal settings
The customer can change the automatic renewal settings:
- directly in the customer administration for the specific service,
- through a ticket in the customer administration in the Support section,
- by e-mail at podpora@zoxio.eu.
In particular, the customer can change the selected service period or plan, or switch automatic renewal off, where the nature of the specific service allows it.
7.Canceling automatic renewal
The customer can cancel automatic renewal at any time:
- in the customer administration for the specific service,
- through a ticket in the Support section,
- by e-mail at podpora@zoxio.eu.
Canceling automatic renewal does not cancel the service period already paid for. The service remains active until the end of the currently paid period. After it ends, the service will not be renewed automatically unless the customer pays for it again or activates automatic renewal once more.
So that the cancellation can be processed before the next payment attempt, we recommend canceling automatic renewal no later than 11 days before the end of the currently paid service period.
8.Unsuccessful payment
If the recurring payment cannot be charged, the customer may be informed of the unsuccessful payment and may be asked to pay manually or to update their payment method.
If the service is not duly paid for by the end of the current period, it may be suspended, restricted or terminated in accordance with the ZOXIO terms and conditions.
